Kia Ora Whānau,

 

Ive been following the DGR movement for many years now. & this will be my 4th year participating. What an incredible experience to be apart of, and for an amazing cause. We ride with people across the globe to raise funds & awareness for prostate cancer research & mens mental health on behalf of Movember 👨🏻

 

I have since been heavily invested in spreading awareness for mens mental health. Especially since jumping to a new career in the building industry which has the highest rate of suicide.

 

The stats for New Zealand for suicide are alarming:

 

We have one of the highest youth suicide rates in the OECD.
In New Zealand, young people have the highest suicide rate.
Men are 3-4 times more likely to die by suicide.

 

Why

 

Experience of mental illness (including depression, anxiety).
Substance abuse.
Feeling hopeless.
Loneliness.
Unemployment.
Losing a loved one or peer to suicide.

 

All issues currently impacting men/women and children around the world.

 

I have a goal of reaching $2000  this year & we can do it together. Please reach out and give what you can, help support me - or my team (Every Sunday Motorcycle Collective) so that we can help men everywhere live happier & healthier lives.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 29th Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
