Men’s Mental Health And Suicide Prevention

On average, across the world, we lose one man every minute to suicide – half a million men every year.
Have I been in therapy? Yep.
Has it helped? Yep.

We’re working towards a world where men of all ages understand what mental health is, what they need to do to manage their wellbeing and feel comfortable asking for support when they need it. Funds raised by the DGR community are invested in building evidence for and scaling community-based men’s health programs.

Guys don't like going to the doctor. I know I don't. But it is important.

Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. Globally, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men. Over 10 million men around the world are living with or beyond a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Prostate is particularly common in men over 50. (ahem...my age group) If you or someone you know are facing a prostate cancer diagnosis, visit True North. True North is a website developed by Movember to help men find advice on prostate cancer treatments, common changes to sex and intimacy, unexpected bathroom trips, and much more.

What can you do? Make sure you and your loved ones are getting check ups so we'll be around for our kids and grandkids. Someone has to get them on motorcycles, right?!?

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that.  I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
