It's in all the rooms, and it's hard to talk about.

Mental health is a topic near and dear to me. It's the nexus on which it all turns, and the concepts are all so stigmatized and scary and difficult, we don't even know how to talk about it or what conversation we're having…

It's more than depression and disorders and qualifiable words in therapy or measurable academic models. It's every day, tiny puffs of wind that change what we say - or don't say - in every conversation. It's how we see ourselves - and those around us - as the thoughts and feelings wash over us as each day unfolds…

I'm no stranger to therapy, and oppression theory, and Men's work, and activism, and spiritual practice, and somatic action. And yet…

Speak up for yourself. Reach out to others, for yourself and for them. Be authentically yourself. Trust. Mostly Trust. Almost every regret in my life was born of not speaking, or not acting - they're the same - and mostly that was because I didn't Trust myself or someone else. Wish I had…

So I'm riding this May 19th, dressed for the honor and celebration of everyone who gets out of their fear, and for everyone who struggles to, and for everyone who doesn't. Dressed for the guy I remember I am.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Saturday 20th Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
