Gearing Up for the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride: Rain or Shine!

Friday 17th May 2024

As the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride (DGR) approaches on May 19th, 2024, excitement is in the air—and so might be a few raindrops! Preparations are in full swing, and I’m getting ready to join fellow riders in Shrewsbury for this incredible event dedicated to men’s health.

This week has been about the final touches: polishing my bike, picking out my dapper outfit, and hoping for clear skies. But even if the weather decides to challenge us, a little rain won’t dampen our spirits. In fact, I've even considered doing a "rain dance" to keep the weather at bay—anything to ensure a smooth ride through Shrewsbury's charming streets!

Stay tuned for photos that capture all the excitement and elegance of the day. From the meticulously styled bikes to the sharpest suits and smiling faces, these snapshots will tell the story of a community coming together for a worthy cause.

Rain or shine, the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride is about more than just the journey. It celebrates solidarity, style, and support for men’s health. I can’t wait to hit the road and share this memorable experience with all of you. Let’s ride dapper, make a difference, and create lasting memories—pictures coming soon!

Riding for a Cause: Alex's Journey in the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride 2024

Friday 17th May 2024

On May 19th, 2024, I will proudly join thousands of riders across the globe for the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride (DGR), a remarkable event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for men’s health. This day isn’t just about riding in style—it’s about making a difference, and this year, I’ll be participating in Shrewsbury, a town that beautifully blends historic charm with a passionate community spirit.

The DGR is more than just a motorcycle ride; it celebrates modern classic and vintage-styled bikes and the distinguished gentlemen and gentlewomen who ride them. Participants dress in their finest attire, creating a striking visual spectacle that turns heads and sparks conversations. But beneath the dapper clothing and polished bikes lies a serious mission: to support men’s mental health and prostate cancer research through the Movember Foundation.

For me, Alex, this event holds a special significance. It’s an opportunity to honour the men in my life and contribute to a cause that affects so many. Men’s health often doesn’t get the attention it deserves, and events like the DGR play a crucial role in changing that. By coming together, we can foster a supportive community and drive real progress.

Riding through the scenic streets of Shrewsbury, I’ll join fellow enthusiasts who share a commitment to this cause. Shrewsbury’s historic backdrop, with its medieval architecture and picturesque landscapes, provides the perfect setting for such a meaningful event. As we rev our engines and ride together, we’ll be united by our love for motorcycles and our shared goal of promoting and protecting men’s health.

Participating in the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together for a common purpose. It’s about more than just the ride; it’s about the camaraderie, the shared stories, and the collective effort to make a difference. As we cruise through Shrewsbury on May 19th, each mile we cover will be a testament to our commitment to this vital cause.

Join me and countless others worldwide as we ride dapper, ride classic, and ride for a better future. Together, we can change the face of men’s health, one distinguished ride at a time.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 8th Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
