Tomorrow's the day!

Greetings and Salutations Gentlefolk.

The work has all been done and the Might Scrambler is washed and brushed up for our dapper adventure tomorrow 19 May.

My outfit has been carefully selected and given a 'Thumbs-Up' for dapperousity and I'm all set.

Thanks to all of you who have generously donated this year. It has allowed me to beat my total for last year and I know a few of you still wish to support me, please follow the links on this page.

We're promised glorious sunshine tomorrow so it should be a great day as we ride out through Oxford.

So, Gentlefolk. As they say an ounce of prevention is worth a pint of annoyance that the thing doesn't work when you need it to...

To that end, this was the weekend to make sure the Mighty Scrambler was fit and match ready for two weeks’ time.

'Why two weeks’ time?' I hear you ask.

Well, because in two weeks the Mighty Scrambler and I will be, once again, undertaking the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.

Thus, you can imagine my horror to discover that the Mighty Scrambler was a tad poorly and wouldn't start. Some tinkering and strategic You Tube scouring later, and a discharged battery was the culprit.

No stranger am I to the vicissitudes of portable electrical storage, so with trickle charger in hand I set about the delicate task of replacing the missing electricity…

Hoorah! This morning after pacing like an expectant parent, the deed was done and a surfeit of electricity was once more safely contained within my battery and… the Mighty Scrambler lives again!

To wit, a good run out today to loosen the limbs and refresh the lungs and we’re good a ready to go on 19 May 2024.

Once again, I implore you to support me in this endeavour and sponsor my perambulation around a, hopefully, sunny Oxfordshire. Both I, the Movember Foundation and the cause of Men’s Mental Health will be in your debt.

Here we are again Gentlefolk...

Good day and greetings, gentlefolk.

Once again I have entered the Distinguished Gentlemans' Ride in support of mens' health. On 19 May 2024 I will be riding my Triumph Street Scrambler 900 in a dapper outfit to highlight the cause.

Last year, with your greatly appreciated help, I raised £600. I would sincerely like to raise that or more this year. So now for the begging bit...

Please can you sponsor me for the ride and in exchange I'll update my blog, upload some photos and videos and try to select a suitably dapper outfit to impress.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 27th Mar 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
