The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride 19th May 2024

Thursday 21st Mar 2024
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride 19th May 2024
In 2020 I had been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at 58 years old, many blood tests over a few months showed a high PSA level. Very thankful for the speed and professionalism of the Bournemouth Urology Department, timing was amazing within a week of telling me about the operation the Prostate, nerve bundle and lymph node were removed.
So now in 2024 after a rest and recovery, I'm climbing on a bike to take part in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. This will be the first of many, if I can manage to mount up and continue to get on a motorcycle. Sometimes I feel like El Cid strapped in, can't walk very far, the bike does the work. The cause is so important and helps to save many lives, sponsor me if you want to, every donation helps.
It won't be easy there's a mountain of health conditions to overcome to take part. I will be safe and prepared for anything. The Prostate and Mental Health charities are extremely important.
I've organised a bike meet at the Duchess Uf Cornwall , Queen Mother Square, Poundbury, Dorset to gain support from the biking community. Takes place at 6pm every Wednesday of the month starting 27th March , I started the West Bay Motorcycle Riders group and page supporting a new bike night on 4th April at the Iconic Venue
Thank you for reading the post Sunday 19th May I'll be riding from Poundbury through Dorchester and out to Broadmayne , Littlemoor and Upwey back to Dorchester and Poundbury for a Party at THE DORCHESTER RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB .

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 20th Mar 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
