Where it all started

As you most of you know I brought this bike as a non starter and a blank canvas to turn it into a cafe racer.

I've added a few photos of when I first picked up the bike, I got it running to confirm it would work before all the effort to come.

After that came the strip down lots of bolts and random parts that's filled the garage, a loop was made after a few issues with the supplier but when I did it fit perfect.

Deleted the air box and made a new electrical box and tray a few welds lots of sanding and painting and then rebuild time, new brackets for the seat, re wiring and install of new lights and mudguards new shocks at a different height to stock.

After she was all out back together the fun part of tuning it happened still getting there in that department but we are close she did decide it was time for a new clutch so a few YouTube videos later new clutch is fitted and working perfectly.

Before the clutch the front brake decided it would not bleed so many swear words and help from my wife resulted in a  new master cylinder so thankfully I can stop now lol

a few more test rides till the big day and a very very good clean and we are ready to go.

if I get time a tank paint and a new gauge is on the never ending list of things to do lol

I'm Finally Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm finally riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.

Ive been a follower of the dgr for a very long time for the great cause it serves and the great event for cafe racers and all things dapper and old school.

Mental health is something everyone has dealt with at some point in all of life's ups and downs and being able to support a cause like this gives everyone the help we need when we need it.

I can finally be a part of it, as most of you know I've always wanted to support and ride this event and I finally found a bike that I got running, fixed up with quirks and all with the intent to ride the dgr and hopefully she makes it all the way round.

I will be dressing up in all the old school tweed I can find suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
