A ride for Isaiah

I began participating in this ride last year as soon as I got my license. I wanted to celebrate my love of classic motorcycles together with my love for dressing up in costumes, all while supporting a good cause. 

I thought that this year would have the same whimsical feel but sadly it has taken on a more profound meaning for me.

 

After struggling with his mental health for years, on March 14, 2024 @ 1030am Isaiah Micheal Derrell Wong Ken lost his battle. 

He was 26 years old.

With his family's permission I will be riding in his name this year, hoping to bring awareness and raise funds for men's mental health.

 

Please consider donating if at all possible but more importantly, please take a moment to reach out to the men in your life, young or old and check on how they are doing. Often times it is very difficult for men to reveal how vulnerable, depressed, overwhelmed or hopeless they feel and we should respect their boundaries and limits, but they should know that we are here, that they have our support, that we will not judge or ridicule and that even though they may not feel comfortable talking about it today, we will be here to listen with compassion when they do.

 

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 3rd Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
