Thank you to everyone who has donated to this cause through my profile so far. I can't wait to join this ride in Wellington on Sunday. I've already selected my suit for this endeavour. My bike is ready too, and I've even cleaned and lubed the chain.

Why is a woman like me going on the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride you wonder. I wondered myself if women are allowed to join ride – yes, we can! I'm all about making my rides count; as a member of Riders Against Cancer, which is a charitable organisation in NZ for motorcyclist who want to raise money for cancer, this was a no-brainer. Even though we’re different organisations, our goals are aligned. When I found out that there was a ride being organised in Wellington, I jumped on the opportunity as soon as I can. Like many people, I lost a grandmother to colon cancer. It went undetected for many years until it was too late. 

I'll be riding with more than 70,000 motorcyclists at the same time in over 950 cities around the world. It will be the largest group ride I've been on ever. Please continue to help us raise money for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health charity initiatives through Movember (sorry, I can't grow a mo). Bring on Sunday!

 

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 29th Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
