I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for men's health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons.

This is a personal matter for me. In 2022, I endured a brain tumor that nearly caused permanent vision loss. Fortunately, following a successful surgery, I've achieved an almost complete recovery. Now, I share my story to encourage others to seek help if they sense something is wrong. Despite the rarity of my tumor, I, like many men, delayed seeking treatment until it was nearly too late. I was just hours away from a potentially fatal situation without urgent medical care. Through sharing my experience, I aim to help eradicate the stigma associated with seeking medical assistance.

I've been a supporter of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for many years, and returning to my motorcycles after surgery not only improved my vision but also restored the confidence I had lost through the experience.
