Washing Day

Saturday 18th May 2024

Motorcycles; like humans need attention, care and the occasional bath. 

Today is wash day and although I can only try to emulate the guru of motorcycle cleaning (Rob from Time To Shine) I ended up with more water and suds on myself than the machine. 

thank goodness for a warm Durban climate that makes the task of cleaning the bike that much more pleasant. 

looking forward to meeting all the other dapper dons and donettes tomorrow!!

As the ride on Sunday draws ever closer, what to wear, what to wear...?

For fans of the Netflix series: "The Gentlemen", a lot of inspiration can be drawn. However, when riding a motorcycle the mantra is always ATGAT (All the Gear All the Time)  

Armoured tweed! Now there's a business idea to float in South Africa!

As any good motorcyclist knows, one's level of fitness before a big event is key to a successful trip. 

So Far I have jumped to conclusions, swam upstream at work and run out of excuses. Phew, im exhausted!

Next up, washing the bike and polishing my shoes.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Sunday 12th May 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
