Cue the Bike Puns: I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride 2024
Wednesday 27th Mar 2024Rev your engines and fasten your bow ties because on Sunday, May 19th, 2024, Annika and I are hitting the throttle for The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in San Luis Obispo! Join us as we punt around town, turning heads and raising funds for prostate cancer and men's mental health, all while sporting our finest in support of Movember.
Picture this: a squadron of sharply dressed riders, engines roaring for a cause, as we embark on our dapper adventure. But beneath the iron, chrome, and leather, there's a serious twist in the tale. Men are facing roadblocks in physical and mental health that cut their rides short by an average of six years. It's a startling statistic that fuels our mission to make a difference, so it's time to shift gears!
As I navigate the twists and turns of my practicum training as a therapist, I am acutely aware of the bumps in the road that many men face in seeking support for their mental well-being. The stigma surrounding men's mental health is a real road-hog and too often prevents them from seeking help, leading to silent suffering. That's why I'm full-throttle to break down these barriers and ensure that we all have access to the support and resources we need to survive and thrive.
Each donation, no matter how small, fuels our mission to ensure that every man, woman, and rider gets a fair shot at the finish line of life. So, let's saddle up and kick-start change! Hop on, donate today, and let's show the world that when it comes to our prostate and mental health, we're not just spinning our wheels – we're burning rubber with a passion that fuels our ride and ignites our resolve!

It’s not much, but something very important to me. My dad has beaten prostate cancer twice now and it was so so important to have meetings with all the men of the family and friends to spread awareness because it’s something people don’t talk about it and many go through it with silence. Love you guys!
