I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Monday 1st Apr 2024On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.
I'm doing this for my 7 brothers, my Dad, my Son, my Uncles, my 12 Nephews, countless Cousins and even more friends. We all struggle with issues, but Men tend to hide these, bury them, get on with it by "manning up" and they get worse. So along with raising awareness for Prostate Cancer, I'm here to say it's OK to talk lads! Talk to your friends, talk to your parents, talk to a professional if you feel you don't want to open up to someone close to you for fear of vulnerability. The main thing is to talk before the issues grow inside your head and leads to a path you can't turn back from. It's OK to not feel OK.
Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
