Doing the rite thing

I've never been one for doing this sort of thing, I've always stuck to doing things on an individual basis but 4 years ago my father passed from cancer and it had a profound effect on me snd my family.

It wasn't prostrate cancer but an aggressive form of brain cancer cslled glioblastoma. It was horrible watching this man who I thought would be there forever go from being a strong fit man to a shell of his former self. I had promised him I wouldn't put him into a hospice, so with the help of family we nurses him until he passed.

The passing of my father has a detrimental effect on my mental health which in turn has had a lasting impact on my family among other things. By taking part in events such as the DGR, it makes me feel not as helpless, as if I'm able to do something when I couldn't do anything for my father. 
He loved his motorcycles and I'll be riding his pride snd joy, his 47 triumph 5T speed twin.

i will be thinking of him and imagining him enjoying the day out with me.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 22nd Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
