Road Guard Duty

Monday 6th May 2024

I regret to inform you that Jack's Road King will not be in attendance at the DG this year. I was asked by a friend who is one of the organizers for this ride if I would be willing to be a road guard for this ride. I have accepted, however that means I have to make a change in my ride. I have no problems riding dad's bike for charity or any good rides or events however, I am not comfortable putting his bike into that position. His bike is an irreplaceable one of a kind to me. So I will be riding my 2013 Harley Davidson switchback. A bike that I am intimately familiar with, very knowledgeable and confident of her abilities, but most importantly she is my bike not my dad's inherited bike. 

The Roadking

The Roadking I'll be riding in the DRG belonged to my dad. I lost him to cancer over Christmas. He went in to the hospital Christmas Eve, Comatose on Christmas Day and he passed on December 26. Though Prostate Cancer was one that he didn't have, I'll do whatever I can to promote cancer awareness. 

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Tuesday 26th Mar 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
