An incredible day!

Monday 20th May 2024

Following on from my recent problem, I rode the bike to meet up with friends and it was still idling fast. Fine on the road, tricky at junctions and slow manoeuvres. Considering that most of the day will be slowly winding through town in a pack, this was going to be a major issue, and just as I turned into the Quay . . . . it fixed itself! 

Back to idling normally and well behaved all day!

 

A fantastic day of good people, fine tailoring, every tupe of bike imaginable, and kindness and generosity everywhere!

Terrible timing

Sunday 19th May 2024

So, the Harley didn't take kindly to being cleaned and has thrown out a P0505 fault code and is idling fast.

Tried the 'ole turn it off and on again (in a variety of reset techniques) and it's still ticking over too fast.

Air cover off and a poke about and the IAC pintle is sticking. Could be the tiny motor, could be just gunk.

Next step, is to take it for a good run and hope that the V-Twin gods of Milwaukee look favourably upon me.

Now the rains have stopped for a brief pause, it's an oppurtunity for a freshen up with a bit of polish.

We need to be looking our finest on the day.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 22nd Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
