Why I am doing this

Takes a deep breath….
This is a cause that is very close to me at the minute as a few of you will know. Not only is this a great cause but it’s also my “therapy” helping me get away from it all. So for a bit of honesty. Last week I took myself to the doctors. It’s taken a long time to accept any help but I did it. Being a veteran, a dad, friend, a full time worker and a husband that saves Tina’s life on a daily has taken its toll. I’ve been signed off work and prescribed the right meds. Ordered by Tina to get out and be “Woody” with the help of the biking community who are an amazing group, I plan on getting back what I lost. Family is everything and always will be but apparently I need to get back to also doing what I enjoy too.
So I’m off the booze and back on the bike.
A broken limb would be easier to handle as it’s something visible that everyone understands. I have learnt that this is more common than you think and is not something I should carry on my own.
So if you see me about say hi…. I’ll be the one in the crazy yellow ear flapping dog helmet 🏍️💛🐕

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 1st Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
