The days ride.

Monday 20th May 2024

Well 53.5 miles later I'm home & considering that the Janus has a ridged frame I'm not worse for the wear  🤔 

 We rode through the city of syracuse with a lunch stop at the Dinosaur BBQ which definitely hit the spot. We finished lunch & swung through a couple of the city parks & ended the ride with the temptation of a Long Cold Beer at Willow Rock Brewery.  Since it's actually my 51st anniversary & my wife was gracious enough to let me indulge in the ride & did the " right thing"  & headed home.  

Thank you to everyone that contributed to te ride.  Overall I raised $1031 & the Syracuse group as a whole raised in excess of $7000 

Back on two wheels

My new ride is a huge step backwards but it's time to get the helmet back off the shelf !  Gone are the days of cross country rides on the Harley Ultra Glide.  Now I'm content to hop on & cruise the back roads around the finger lakes of upstate New York that in summer all seem to have an Ice Cream Shop conveniently located on them.😉   I'm not sure where this bike will carry me but I am sure it will be at a much more leisurely pace.  Let's all keep the wheels on the ground & the wind on our face & with luck one day our roads will cross. 

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 15th Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
