My Blog
Working on the T20SS
Friday 5th Apr 2024Blogs are a strange thing to me, just like journaling. There have been many motivations to start this fundraising journey, and one of them has been my late stepfather.
He battled prostate cancer, and pulled through. He then battled esophageal cancer... sadly he succumbed to that nasty one.
Major father figure in my life, missing him and missed opportunities to learn more from him. Because of that I feel I look at learning more from others. This brings me to the Tiger Cub.
Working on the tiger cub.. I've placed it on such a pedestal. Since 5 years old I've admired this bike in a non-running condition. Over the years I had taken more interest in it, and it was certainly noticed. One day my brother, sister and I convinced our stepfather that we should try to start this little gem of a bike after it sat dormant in his kitchen as a centrepiece for years. Unknowingly we managed only to cause problems that I would discover a years down the road when picking through some bits to restore.
I'm certainly trailing off the purpose of this blog entry.
I don't know if I would have found an interest in motorcycles if it weren't for my step father. A special interest in Triumph all due to this little tiger cub he managed to purchase from milk crates back in 1991 and got a bike mechanic to assemble it just to have it sit as a center piece.
I think this fundraising event with the DGR matched up with Movember, and partnered with Triumph is amazing. I look forward to contributing more and I'm especially excited about this year as my first official year participating.
Thank you to my first donor, it means a lot to me that you are contributing to a cause for men's health.
I would have uploaded a photo, but mobile be strange that way.
