This ride is in honour and memory of Marcin Smolarek
Saturday 18th May 2024I am heartbroken to have lost a family member. I decided to take part in this ride in his honour. Marcin passed away way too early in his life at only 45 years old, he had fought mental and physical battle against cancer. It cut his life short and so his dreams of reaching all 8,000 m peaks as an avid mountain lover. Luckily he visited Nepal last year. Marcin is leaving behind his wife, Ula, and three children. In professional life he was a lawyer and a partner of a law firm. He was always the jokester and a heart and star of any gathering, making people feel included in any conversation. Family events were so much more fun and interesting thanks to him. We are only starting to process the loss and the huge gap he is leaving behind. Rest in peace, Marcin. You will be deeply missed.
I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Friday 17th May 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives. My Sponsors

To Marcin: He got less than he deserved but made the most of what he got. Forever in our thoughts.
