I'm riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2015. Unfortunately, the prognosis was poor because it was highly aggressive and had already affected the seminal vesicle, rectum and lymph nodes. But I made it through, of course with the familiar side effects such as incontinence and impotence. In this respect, I experienced first-hand how important early prevention would have been. Since 2016, I have regularly taken part in the DGR in Munich to raise awareness of this issue among men. It's important, damn important. Go to your urologist and have an annual PSA test regularly. It doesn't hurt and it's not intimate, because it's just a blood test.

2015 bekam ich die Diagnose Prostatakrebs. Leider mit schlechter Prognose weil hochagressiv und bereits Samenblase, Enddarm und Lymphknoten befallen. Aber ich habe es geschafft, natürlich mit den bekannten Nebenwirkungen wie Inkontinenz und Impotenz. Insofern habe ich am eigenen Leib erfahren müssen wie wichtig eine frühzeitige Vorsorge gewesen wäre. Seit 2016 fahre ich regelmäßig beim DGR in München mit, um durch diese Aktion die Achtsamkeit bei Männern auf dieses Thema zu lenken. Es ist wichtig, verdammt wichtig. Geht zum Urologen und macht regelmäßig einen jährlichen PSA Test. Es tut nicht weh und ist nicht intim, denn es ist nur eine Blutuntersuchung.
